Each Sunday, we are blessed to have our high school students serve as youth liturgists. Through this ministry, our youth become more confident worship leaders as well as public speakers! The coordinators of this ministry would like to encourage all youth in grades 9-12 to consider serving in this meaningful way. Contact Linda Downes if you would like to serve.
This is FPC's Aftermath Bible study which consists of fellowship, worship, and lectionary-based study. The Lectionary is designed to take us through the Bible every three years. Students will make it through the Word twice by the time they finish high school! Class breaks up into age appropriate small groups to discuss daily application of the selected verses each week. Students grab their fav caffeine creation before class; this coffee bar is something else!
Sunday 10:00 AM — 10:45 AM, Rooms 202 & 203, Kings Campus
Students share conversations about faith, exploring Christian faith and answering God's call to discipleship, and membership in the church.

Aftermath is Early Sabbath’s answer to Sunday School. This Bible study offering follows Thursday evening’s Early Sabbath worship and provides students access to the same curriculum studied on Sunday mornings in The Cafe. We’ll order some pizza and dive into the verses designated by the Lectionary each week!
These small groups are based on age and gender and meet according to the needs of those participating. Typically meeting every week, these groups are shepherded by adults and student leaders and tend to meet for breakfast or in the evening at a restaurant or the home of a leader or participant’s family. These meetings focus on building community and creating a time of fellowship in addition to devotion/Bible study. Impact groups frequently participate in other fellowship opportunities as a group.
BIG meeting is Sunday night’s outreach event. We meet weekly and this gathering has it all—hanging with friends, skits and games, and praise and worship. Each week is an opportunity to meet new people, explore our faith, and have fun! Our Youth Band plays for High School. At BIG meeting there are plenty of ways for each student to plug in.
Retreats are offered in the fall and spring of each year for both Middle School and High School groups. Ski trips (High School only) are taken in the Winter. Retreats give students the opportunity to get away for the weekend, usually in the mountains, from our busy lives and enjoy paintball, rope courses, fellowship, quiet time, music, and worship. For our 9th - 12th grade students, we'll have an awesome time of games, singing, good food, worship, outdoor activities, and funny skits. We hope you'll join us! Details, guidelines, and registration forms coming soon.
Each summer our High School students travel all over to share the love of Christ by performing service projects in other communities around the country, even the world. In the past, we have traveled to Louisiana, West Virginia, Jamaica, Tennessee, Nicaragua, and Mexico. Our students have built or repaired homes, dug trenches for water lines, hung drywall, painted, and performed landscaping. Our 9th - 12th grade students traveled to Cranks Creek, Kentucky on a Son Servant trip. During the week students worked with members of other church groups, did construction and repair work on houses and buildings. In the afternoon and evenings, they sang, met as a group, listened to speakers, and had quiet time with the Lord each morning.
