Adult Music Opportunities

The Music Department at FPC offers vocal, instrumental, and handbell choir opportunities for adults. Director of Music and Fine Arts, Brown Bradley invites you to join the choir or come and enjoy the glorious sounds offered throughout the year at First Presbyterian Church. The FPC Chancel Choir provides music fo the worship service each week and for special services throughout the year. The choir also presents two major classical works annually at Christmas and Easter. Brown Bradley, 843.448.4496 for more information.

Come and sing with the FPC Chancel Choir for the summer. This choir rehearses once a month and lifts their voices in praise every Sunday at the 11:00 am service. Choir members meet at 10:30 am in the choir room, 3rd floor, Kings Campus, prior to the Sunday service. Brown Bradley, 843.448.4496 for more information.

Late Intermediate/Advanced Handbell Ringers

In watching and listening to our handbell choirs, have you ever wondered:

Chancel Ringers: Advanced adult handbell ensemble that rings five octaves of handbells and four octaves of chimes. The Chancel Ringers learn and prepare Level 3 and above handbell music to ring monthly during Sunday worship and for other special church and community events. The choir will learn to read and identify more advance rhythms and musical notations and will practice and utilize various bell ringing techniques. This ensemble often participates in events sponsored by the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers.

Early Sabbath Band

For Advanced Vocalists and Instrumentalists

Our talented and dedicated core group of music leaders would welcome additional musicians to join them in leading our Thursday congregation as together, we "make a joyful noise to the Lord!" This band leads the music for weekly Thursday night EARLY SABBATH services at 6 p.m. Vocalists and instrumentalist in grades 8 or above who would like to audition, contact Skip Yingling, 843.4484.4496, for more information.

FPC Sextet

The FPC Sextet is a professional group of soloists who sing for the early service each week as well as performing as soloists for many of our services. Auditions are held periodically for sextet substitute positions and guest soloists. Ringerific Bell Choir

Beginner/Intermediate Handbell Ringers

This inter-generational group is for all children and youth in grades 4 and above and adults of all ages. The Ringerific choir learns and prepares Level 1-2 handbell music to ring during Sunday worship, for the 5 p.m. Christmas Eve service and the morning of the annual Children's Musical. The Gathering Band

For Advanced Vocalists and Instrumentalists

This band leads the music for THE GATHERING service at 10:05 a.m. twice a month. Youth in grades 8 or above and adults of all ages are welcome to audition. Skip Yingling, 843.448.4496, for more information.
