Children play together and hear Bible stories that build the foundations of their faith. Our children come to know:
Our pre-school and kindergarten teachers are committed and prepared to greet our children with smiles, love, and lots of exciting things to do and learn.
Age 2, meets in Room 109
Preschool, Ages 3 & 4, and our Kindergartners meet in Room 103
Come ashore for stories to remember! We are excited to share with our children Foundational Stories of Faith. Join us downstairs at Kings Campus and look for your grade level banner hanging at . . .
These storeis will be shared with a multiple-intelligence approach to learning that recognizes children love repetition and engage in learning in different ways. This year Sunday School (and LOGOS, our mid-week ministry) will study Seasons of the Spirit Lectionary curriculm. "Want to read and study along with your student? Click here to see the lectionary readings from which our lessons are taken."
Whether your children participate in Sunday School, LOGOS, or both, they will enjoy and benefit from learning the Foundational Stories of Faith.
Art, drama, games, computer challenges, popcorn, movies, food and fun all come together with wonderful, prepared teaching, warm leadership, friendship and prayer to make Sunday morning on The Shore the place to be.
Get in the Zone!
What does a church do with wonderful, knowledgeable and faithful children of God who have grown into a place in life that they just do not feel like elementary children but not quite ready to be middle school teenagers? Why, you invite them to the Zone!
When you enter the club house of the Zoners you will be welcomed in to a world created by and for our 5th graders.
We study age appropriate material that is fun, exciting, and engaging. There is always a game and interactive discussion. In the Zone 5, being a Zoner is a positive experience. We work as a team to try to understand our place in this world while still growing closer to God. Everyone is invited to attend and join our team. The Zoners meet at 9:45 Sunday mornings, in Room 100 at Kings Campus and are led by Karen Prickett and Jenna McCoy and assisted by Zone parents.
Held the Sunday before Horry County Schools resume, children move to their new class & celebrate the start of a new year. Students are grouped according to their age as of September 1st and remain in their assigned class with their peers for the entire school year. As a group, they advance the following Promotion Sunday.
Sunday Morning Offering for Children 4 yrs - 2nd grade (Children must be 4 years of age by the previous September 1)
Children’s Church is a special time of worship, designed with our youngest worshippers in mind. During our early and 11:00 worship services, children ages 4 – 2nd grade (as of previous September 1) are invited to come forward. Leaders then escort the children to their worship space, Room 104*, Kings Campus. Like in “big church,” we have acolytes and litanies, prayers and scripture, story books and games, crafts and movies.
We share, we squirm, we color, we learn!
We enjoy coming together as God’s children to thank God for all we have and to learn about worshipping as one. Each week we look at God’s message to us, at how much God loves us and how God wants us to love each other. Our Children’s Church curriculum is written by a church member, staffed by church volunteers, and supported by Children’s Ministries.
Children’s Church Leaders are always needed & appreciated. If you wish to volunteer for this special ministry, please contact Marian Shelton, 843.448.4496.
*Children remain in worship classroom until parent arrives for pickup.
Note to Parents: Look for our "Wee Worship Bags" upon entering the sanctuary for your children's use while in worship. Each bag contains:
