30 Jul New Youth Director
Dear FPC Member and Friends,
We are pleased to welcome Jack Kelly as our new FPC Youth Director in this newly created full-time role. We are deeply grateful for the solid legacy previously established and look forward to building upon that good work. Jack brings both experience and a deep enthusiasm for ministry with young people.
Jack is a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School and the Academy of Art, Science, and Technology. He earned his biology degree Magna Cum Laude from Wofford College in 2023. During his time at Wofford, Jack studied abroad in Vietnam and Cambodia and completed an internship in youth ministry, further deepening his commitment to faith-based service. Currently serving as a youth leader at Wellspring Church, Jack is also a former participant in the youth ministry at First Presbyterian Church. He values the faith mentorship he has received and looks forward to giving back in a leadership role.
As Jack shares, “The FPC Youth program has an amazing foundation that I truly appreciate. As we embark on this next step together, my goal is to continue to create an atmosphere that fosters open communication, is engaging, welcoming, and promotes growth in faith. I am excited about continuing to grow this program through working with students, parents, and the church community.”
Please join us in welcoming Jack to First Presbyterian Church!
Sincerely,
Sharon H. Thompson, Moderator, Personnel Committee
John C. Brearley, Senior Minister
