Donations are accepted each year for the beautiful and festive Christmas greenery and poinsettias that adorn our Sanctuary during this holiday season. Your donation may be given in honor and/or in memory of loved ones and friends. Please submit a completed donation form and your check or money order, payable to FPC Greenery, at our church office or mail to FPC, PO Box 70127, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572-0127. Names of those honored will appear in our newsletter.

FPC Youth and Mission Ministry Teams sponsors our traditional and largest local mission project. Each holiday season, FPC adopts children from our local community whose families need assistance with gifts for Christmas. Please make checks payable to First Presbyterian Church; Memo Operation Christmas.
The Moravian Lovefeast and Festival of Lights is a worship service of lessons and carols, beginning with a beautiful candlelight processional. Christmas music is provided by the FPC Chancel Choir, Bells Angels Handbells, soloists, and organ. Individually sealed cookies and sealed coffee will be served by members of the congregation in period dress, while everyone joins in the singing of Christmas carols. This beautiful service captures the joyful Christmas celebration.

FPC youth will set the scene of the night Jesus was born with a Live Nativity scene. Come and see real live animals in our manger scene.
The Longest Night Service is a service that provides space for people to express those feelings that we can have during the season that are not always “merry and bright.” In a service that includes meditations, prayers, and silence, we will look for the light of Christ even in our darkest and longest nights.
First Presbyterian offers two services to celebrate the eve of our Savior’s birth. We invite everyone to come and worship with us and celebrate the birth of our Lord with our church family and friends. Habitat for Humanity Offering is received at all Christmas Eve services. This offering will be used to build Habitat Houses for people in need of a helping hand to live in a decent house.
This child-friendly service will appeal to God’s children of all ages! We will hear the wonderfully familiar story told from a fresh perspective, sing our favorite carols, enjoy hearing music led by our children choir, bells and Gathering Band. Worship led by Rev. Nathan See.
The Christmas Eve Communion worship service will be a service of lessons and carols with traditional Christmas selections led by FPC Chancel Choir. Worship led by Rev. Dr. John C. Brearley.
Children ages K through 5th grades are invited to join these 4 special Advent Sessions of The Way. We will rehearse music for children to sing at our 5:00 PM Family Christmas Eve worship service. *If your children are not already participating in The Way, you can register your children HERE.

This annual Thanksgiving Offering is taken to help support Thornwell Home for Children. For decades children from Georgia, South Carolina, and elsewhere have found a haven of hope at Thornwell. Please make checks payable to First Presbyterian Church; Memo Thornwell Offering.
Received every December, this offering helps and supports retired servants of the church and those facing serious financial difficulty. Assistance is also extended to deserving racial ethnic students in their efforts to succeed and excel in Presbyterian ethnic schools. With your help, more deserving families will be “home” for Christmas by this time next year.
