Family Pick Up Only This Year
FPC Youth and Mission Ministry Teams sponsors our traditional and largest local mission project. Each holiday season, FPC adopts children from our local community whose families need assistance with gifts for Christmas. Please make checks payable to First Presbyterian Church; Memo Operation Christmas.
Our Operation Christmas will be slightly different this year due to the pandemic. Instead of a “Christmas Store”, we will have presents sorted and ready to give out to parents who come pick them up on the 5th.
We thought it might be fun for your family to make your own Moravian cookies to enjoy at home, or to enjoy later during the Christmas season. Here is a recipe to do so: CLICK HERE

Our 9:00 AM Services will be our Lessons & Carols Service
5:00 – 7:00 PM | Back Parking Lot of Grissom
FPC youth will set the scene of the night Jesus was born with a Live Nativity scene. Come and see real live animals in our manger scene.
Our Longest Night Service will take place this year on Monday, December 21st at 6:00pm and can be seen on our church website and our Facebook page, where they will remain archived for future viewing. A Longest Night Service recognizes and honors all of our emotions that go into the season and is particularly mindful of those experiencing times of hopelessness, fear, grief, or loneliness. In 2020, all of us have experienced one or more of these emotions at some time or another. The service is one of hope, reminding us that the light of Christ still enters our world no mater what that world may look like. As is tradition at FPC, our Stephen Ministry program is providing for this service, with short devotions and prayers provided by our Stephen Ministers and music provided by Skip Yingling and Denise Cromer. At the conclusion of our service, we will share about Stephen Ministry and how it could be a blessing in your life.
Both Services are ONLINE ONLY. We invite you to worship with us from the comfort of your home!
First Presbyterian offers two services to celebrate the eve of our Savior’s birth. We invite everyone to come and worship with us and celebrate the birth of our Lord with our church family and friends. Habitat for Humanity Offering is received at all Christmas Eve services. This offering will be used to build Habitat Houses for people in need of a helping hand to live in a decent house.
This child-friendly service will appeal to God’s children of all ages! We will hear the wonderfully familiar story told from a fresh perspective, sing our favorite carols and enjoy a video of the children of The Way singing. Music is led by the Gathering Band. Rev. Nathan See will deliver the Christmas message at the 5:00 PM service.
This Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion service will be a service of lessons and carols with traditional Christmas selections. Music led by FPC Chancel Choir, the “virtual” Youth/Alumni Choirs and our Handbell choir. Dr. John Brearley will deliver the Christmas message at the 7:30 PM service.
**If your children are not currently participating in The Way, and want to join these special Advent sessions register online through the church website.
K-5th grade children are invited to join us for these special Advent themed sessions of The Way.
We will explore stories of Jesus birth and rehearse music for children’s choirs to record a music video that will be shown during our 5:00pm Family Christmas Eve Service.
At this time we are offering two one hour sessions of The Way. You choose the session you would like your children to attend.
Session one is 3:45 to 4:45 and Session 2 is 5:15 to 6:15. Each session includes recreation, Bible activity and choir rehearsal.
If you’d like a free Advent Devotional, please stop by the church office during business hours to pick one up!
