“It is the duty of deacons; first of all, to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who might be in distress.”

A Deacon is a member of our church that tends to a church designated shepherd group. Their primary role is that of “Congregational Care” and they are charged with the ministry of compassion and service. Shepherd Deacons help to insure that  all FPC members feel “connected” to the church. Through contact with their group members with a card, call, or a visit, Shepherd Deacons provide a vital link between the pastoral staff and the members of the congregation.
