09 May Hold That Thought… A Special Invitation
Every spring we revisit the Building Program of our church. We provide a clear and complete update about the construction on our Grissom Campus, the potential sale of our Kings Campus, and the capital campaign that makes this transition possible. The goal is to share good communication and to foster support for completing the campaign. As in years past, this information comes to you in a simple and straightforward mailing.
The material should have arrived in your home by now. It is also currently available online. Note that you can respond by mail or online, as well. Please read the information carefully. We want you to be fully informed. Please respond prayerfully. Your generosity continues to make this vision become a reality. For all of your gifts—past and present—we are most grateful.
This year we have added a special invitation. Many have commented on how exciting it is to watch our new facilities take shape. People notice the changes to the building every time they ride by, or stop by, the Grissom Campus. Everywhere I go folks mention the new construction. It is the topic of much positive conversation.
On Sunday, May 20, we are hosting an Open House to tour the construction site! If you have interest in seeing the inside of these buildings, please mark your calendars now. The day promises to be one to remember! The event runs from 4:00-7:00 in the afternoon, with guided tours running continuously. A barbeque with all the fixin’s (baked beans, mac & cheese, slaw, banana pudding, and tea) will be served at no charge.
All you have to do to participate in the Open House Celebration is to register online HERE or by calling Luanne Martini at 843-946-6038. We need to know how many people (age 12 and older) will be eating so that we can have food for everyone. Younger children are included in the meal and may also tour the facilities if they have a parent with them. There will be supervised play on the playground, and a nursery will be provided. Hard hats will be provided for everyone touring. Please wear shoes appropriate for the construction site.
My guess is that this sneak preview will create a most special memory! You may even want to take a picture or two…
Peace, John
